WILTON HISTORY GROUP
The Wilton History Group was established on December 10, 2003 to preserve and protect items of historical significance related to the Community of Wilton. By Laws, Conflict of Interest Policy, Articles of Association and our Non Profit Status, on both the Federal and State Level, have been completed. Many successful projects have been completed and others are ongoing. The group continues to sponsor the annual Wilton History Day, which occurs in October of each year, and the annual Rummage Sale, which occurs in the Spring of each year. The dedicated involvement of members and the support of the community have made this a very strong organization.
There are many ways in which individuals, families, organizations, and business’s can show their support to this very active organization.
The most basic way support can be given is through annual membership: Membership fees are as follows: Family-$24.00; Individual-$12.00; Student-$9.00; Business-$24.00. Active and Inactive membership involvement are both welcome.
Support of Annual Events can be yet another way of showing support such as providing items for the annual rummage sale. As the Wilton History Group is a non-profit organization those donations are tax deductible. The purchase of our Wilton History Calendar($10.00) and Day Planners($5.00) is yet another way. Sponsorship of specific events during the annual Wilton History Day ( Music of an earlier time--$400.00; Period Games--$150.00; Over 80’s Birthday Party--$150.00; Spelling Bee--$150.00; and the Rooster Crow Contest--$200.00) or a donation designated to defray expenses of the day are always welcome.
